Contract Status Lifecycle

Contract statuses are determined automatically based on Marked as draft or not and on dates.

Once created, the contract state will be :

Open	If "Mark as draft". Toggle switch to Yes.
Open	If "Mark as draft" = No and start date > today.
Open	If "Mark as draft" = No and start date ≤ today and end date ≥ today
Open	If "Mark as draft" = No and end date < today

Automatic Status Updates

Every day at GMT ooh, the system:

• checks contract start and end dates

• updates contract statuses accordingly

• updates related vendor statuses automatically

This guarantees that vendor and contract data is always up to date.
